Consequently, each design will include elemental features in the use of native stone, indigenous plants, water, sound, light, fire, and earth to enhance nature’s organic themes into your landscape. Each design will become an environment that is maintainable, ecologically diverse and one that can include Indigenous plants to honor tribal land traditions that work within the extreme climatic zones of the Oklahoma environment.
Unique to Native Outdoor Living is the inclusion of the full geophysical location of where your property is located and a fossil representation of the era integrated into your design. Land Acknowledgement:
Oklahoma is situated on the traditional home of the “Hasinais” Caddo Nation and“Kirikirʔi:s” Wichita & Affiliated Tribes. This territory once also served as a hunting ground,trade exchange point, and migration route for the Apache, Comanche, Kiowa, and Osagenations. In the immediate area of Tulsa, the Quapaw, Osage, Kickapoo, Caddo, Muscogee,and Cherrokee Nation are part of a long tradition of stewardship. In total 39 Tribal Nationsare represented in the State of Oklahoma.I seek to honor and uplift the history, narratives, and lived realities of these Indigenouspeople and the communities who have formed connections in this space by care of theland and environment that is now part of your tradition and home.
